Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-28

Trailer Parking ("the app") is a driving game. This policy also covers trailerparkingsim.com. Optional first-party analytics is off by default and starts only after you opt in. You can turn it off again in Settings; doing so clears queued analytics events from the device.

The five data categories we process

  1. Identifiers — Device ID. The app creates random install and session identifiers. Before storage, our server replaces them with keyed HMAC-SHA256 hashes; our analytics and community services never store the original identifiers, an advertising ID, your Apple ID, Game Center ID, display name, email, IP address, or user-agent string.
  2. Usage Data — Product Interaction. We may receive allow-listed events such as screen and onboarding steps, selected content, level attempts and outcomes, control/vehicle choices, community actions, sharing outcomes and service status. Values are fixed enums, numbers and internal content IDs—not free-form text or URLs.
  3. User Content — Gameplay Content. We may process limited gameplay results such as level ID, duration, collisions, pull-ups, alignment and stars. Replays, steering traces, custom level names and custom level geometry are not uploaded to our developer services. Version 1.1's editor is local-only and the public Community list is developer-curated.
  4. Purchases — Purchase History. We process the PRO product identifier, purchase/restore outcome and entitlement state. To validate and restore the unlock, App Store server notifications can contain transaction and original-transaction identifiers, product identifier, notification type/status, Store environment, purchase/revocation/expiry dates when present, and an app account token. They do not contain your name, email, card details or payment credentials.
  5. Diagnostics — Other Diagnostic Data. We may receive app/build version, iOS major version, device class (iPhone or iPad), app locale, fixed error codes, request status class, latency and fallback state. We do not accept crash logs, console logs or free-form diagnostic messages through analytics.

Purpose, retention and linkage

Device ID and Product Interaction support Analytics and App Functionality. Gameplay Content supports Analytics. Purchase History and Other Diagnostic Data support Analytics and App Functionality.

Raw anonymous analytics events are automatically deleted after 30 days. We may retain identifier-free daily counts for service quality. HMAC-protected community action IDs prevent duplicate plays, favorites and reports; report hashes can remain until a curated level is restored or removed. App Store transaction records are retained as needed to validate the purchased entitlement and handle refunds.

These categories are not linked to your identity and are not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Data that stays with you

Game progress, settings, nickname, replays and custom editor levels stay on your device unless you choose an Apple feature that shares or syncs them. If you enable iCloud, Apple syncs supported data through your private iCloud account; our developer services do not receive that content.

When you actively send a challenge through Apple Messages, its challenge payload is delivered by Apple to the recipients you select and may include your optional display name plus the challenge's level and result details. This is user-directed sharing through Apple Messages, not developer collection: our servers do not receive the Messages payload or your display name. Apple and each recipient handle the shared copy under their own settings and policies.

Service providers and what we do not do

Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The analytics contract does not accept names, contact details or free-form text.

Your choices

You can play offline, keep analytics off, skip iCloud, leave the nickname blank, avoid Messages and online Community actions, clear local data in Settings, and keep custom levels on-device. For a privacy question or deletion request concerning server data, contact us; include the app version and approximate date, but do not send payment details.
